Privacy policy

Last updated October 21, 2026

Rookie helps you find people nearby to play sports with. This page explains what we collect to do that, who can see it, and how to have it deleted. It applies to the Rookie app on Android, the web app at app.rookieappgame.com, and this website.

What we collect

We don't use advertising, analytics or tracking tools, and we don't collect your contacts, photos or device identifiers.

Who can see what

How we use it

Only to run Rookie: signing you in, matching you with players and teams, scheduling games, keeping ratings and ladders, and showing your feed and notifications. We don't sell your data or share it with anyone for marketing.

Where it's stored

Your data is kept in Rookie's database. Traffic to Rookie is encrypted (HTTPS) and passes through Cloudflare, which provides our network and hosting. On your phone, your sign-in is kept in the Android Keystore; in the web app, it's kept in your browser's storage until you sign out.

Deleting your account

Email hello@rookieappgame.com from the address you signed up with, and we'll delete your account and the data tied to it within 30 days. Results of matches you played may stay on your opponents' history without your name.

You can change your name, city, bio, location and availability, or delete your comments, at any time in the app.

Children

Rookie isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has signed up, contact us and we'll delete the account.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will also be announced in the app.
